Sister City International Scholastic Chess Invitational
When: 1/17/2009
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
What: Top three 6th graders, Top three 5th. graders, Top two 4th graders
Winners of the Tri-Valley Chess Tournament will compete with one of eight scholastic chess players from the Vladimir Russia School of Chess.

Each contestant will play two 30-minute games, one with black pieces and one with white pieces
Requirements:

•You must be from the Bloomington/Normal area.
•You must be willing to play on January 17.
•You must agree to be interviewed and photographed for the local paper, and to have your games published in a national chess publication and on the Chess News website.
•You must complete an information profile that will be translated into Russian and shared with the Russian chess players.
